ADMISSIONS POLICY AND PROCEDURES

North Carolina children are entitled to a free public education under the North Carolina Constitution and NC statutes Article IX, Sections 2 and 3; N.C. Gen. Stat. Section 115C-364,-366.

Initial Entry during first 120 days as detailed in N.C. Gen. Stat. 115C-364(a). Initial Entry after first 120 days as detailed in N.C. Gen. Stat. Section 115C-364(b). Admission at age 4 as detailed in N.C. Gen. Stat. Section 115C-364(d).

Phoenix Academy does not discriminate against any student on the basis of ethnicity, disability, religious affiliation, national origin or gender.

Phoenix Academy will aggressively attempt to reflect the racial and ethnic demographics of Guilford County.

Phoenix Academy will require that all applications be received by the required deadline. If spaces are available students will be admitted in the order, which their application was received. If applications exceed capacity of student space by the deadline, a lottery will be held for anyone who would like to attend the lottery.
