Personal Narrative:

Born and educated England I pursued a career as a residential social worker working with severely and profoundly handicapped children.  My husband was relocated by Motorola in November of 1984 to Mesa, Arizona. After obtaining my residency I was offered a job working in a local furniture sales organization where I was offered the opportunity to hone my office skills. Fourteen years later my family relocated  to North  Carolina.  I placed my daughter’s name in the lottery for a seat at Phoenix Academy and was thrilled to have her join this amazing school. Phoenix Academy has made an enormous impact on mine and my daughter’s life. Not only was she superbly well educated but I too was given the opportunity to combine my love of working with children with my office skills.
